Back in 2019, an anonymous resident from the Summer Village donated a sum of money to the municipality so that a monument of a Norther Pike could be made.  Jason Olson, CAO at the time, got straight to work and contacted Dinosaur Valley Studios (DVS) from Drumheller to make this idea into reality.  In February 2020, the Northern Pike project started! DVS was great to work with and it was amazing to see the work being done on the monument (as you can see in the pictures above).

In June 2020, the Northern Pike was delivered to the Summer Village and was placed by the Marina at the Summer Village for everyone to see.  A ceremony was going to take place but due to COVID-19 regulations, it was not possible to do a ribbon cutting at the time.  

Some residents call the fish "Harvey", but officially the Northern Pike does not have an official name.  It is a wonderful monument that has such great detail and is life-like...it is a must-see!
