How do I apply for a development permit?

1. Please read the Land Use Bylaw 244-19
2. To apply, please fill out the development permit application and drop off or email to [email protected].  Please make sure all information is included and correct in the application or it could lead to rejection.  Applications can take a max of 40 days to have a decision made, as per the Municipal Government Act. 
   -  A development variation request is required whenever a change or alteration to a prescribed standard in the Land Use Bylaw. A variance shall be considered under any section of Land Use Bylaw #244-19 that permits the Development Officer to issue variations to a development permit application. This form must accompany the development perm it application.  
3. You can pay the fee in-person or online OptionPay, mail a cheque to our mailing address, or come in-person to pay cash (please have the correct change) during our office hours.  Cheques can be made to the Summer Village of Rochon Sands​.
