Nomination Filing Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Location: Municipal Office, #1 Hall Street, Rochon Sands, AB

​Election Day: August 2, 2025
Voting Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Voting Station: Rochon Sands Provincial Park Office
Note: Voting traditionally takes place at the Community Hall; the Hall is unavailable due to a private event.

Voter Eligibility:
Section 47 of the Province's Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) determines who is eligible to vote?  In the case of a summer village, a person is eligible to vote in a municipal election if the person:
  • Is eligible to vote under section 47 of the Alberta LAEA;
  • Is at least 18 years of age;
  • Is a Canadian Citizen;
  • Has resided in Alberta for the 6 consecutive months preceding election day;
  • Is named on a certificate of title as the person who owns property within the summer village;    or
  • Is the spouse or adult interdependent partner of a person who owns property within the summer village.

Identification Required:
On Election day you must bring one piece of identification issued by a Canadian Government (federal, provincial or local), or an agency of that government, that contains a photo of the elector and his/her name and current address.
