​Voting Hours:  10:00 am to 7:00 pm

​The Voting Station will be located at the
Rochon Sands Provincial Park Office

(Voting traditionally takes place at the Rochon Sands Community Hall.  However, the Hall is unavailable due to a wedding.)

Voter Eligibility:
Section 47 of the Province's Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) determines who is eligible to vote?  
In the case of a summer village, a person is eligible to vote in a municipal election if the person:
  • Is eligible to vote under section 47 of the Alberta LAEA;
  • Is at least 18 years of age;
  • Is a Canadian Citizen;
  • Has resided in Alberta for the 6 consecutive months preceding election day;
  • Is named on a certificate of title as the person who owns property within the summer village;    or
  • Is the spouse or adult interdependent partner of a person who owns property within the summer village.

Identification Required:
On Election day you must bring one piece of identification issued by a Canadian Government (federal, provincial or local), or an agency of that government, that contains a photo of the elector and his/her name and current address.
