The Government of Alberta established a Disturbance Standard for Temporary Seasonal Docks for Recreation Purposes (Disturbance Standard) in 2021.  The Summer Village of Rochon Sands (SVRS) AD 1.25 Piers, Docks, and Boat Lifts Policy for 2025 provides guidelines for residents applying for temporary seasonal mooring structures within the SVRS.  The Policy also includes the ​Piers, Docks, & Boat Lifts Application.

​Proposed Pilot Project (Golf Carts) Bylaw Information
​Golf Cart Pilot Project Bylaw Update - Third Reading of Bylaw 269-25 - Golf Cart Pilot Project Bylaw was passed at the February 11, 2025, Council Regular Meeting.  In preparation for the Bylaw’s implementation, Administration is developing the golf cart application process.
As per Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors Golf Cart Pilot Project Regulations, this Bylaw will not come into effect until the following conditions are met:
  • Approval by the Registrar of Motor Vehicle Services (granted on January 29, 2025);
  • Final passing of Third Reading of Bylaw 269-25 (passed on February 11, 2025); and
  • Installation of required signage, as stipulated in Section 13 of the Regulation. 
    • Utility Safety Partners (formerly Alberta One-Call) will be marking the underground utilities at the golf cart signage locations and it is planned the the new golf cart signage will be installed by the end of April.  Golf cart permits will only be available once signage installation is complete, per Section 13 of the Regulation.
 
Declaration of Mailing the 2024 Combined Assessment and Tax Notices for the Summer Village of Rochon Sands
The 2024 Combined Assessment and Tax Notices for the Summer Village of Rochon Sands have been deemed mailed to all residents recorded on the Summer Village of Rochon Sands Tax Roll as of May 16, 2024.  The tax due date is the end of day on June 30, 2024.  Penalties will be applied for the outstanding amounts as prescribed by Bylaw  266-24 "Tax Penalty Bylaw" after the end of June 2024 deadline.
